first_imgUnion Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday said India must have credibility in terms of governance, adding that the government was determined to have a perfectly non-adversarial tax regime.Speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit, Jaitley noted that being the world’s largest democracy also meant having credibility in terms of governance. He called on the need to let go of the traditional mindset and spoke of his belief that the government must be led by a political leader of stature.Jaitley argued that in a democracy, the Prime Minister is the final word and that he needs to be decisive and willing to face the consequences of his/her choices.
